COMMUNITY RALLYING TO SAVE BAYFIELD ICE
11/8/2018 10:07:36 AM

Pioneer is putting on a contest called "Here's to Hometowns" with a grand prize of $50 thousand dollars.

The Bayfield Arena Community Partners Association (BACPA) in tandem with the Bayfield Facilities Initiative Team (BFIT) have jointly entered the contest in a bid to save the ice in Bayfield.

The two groups put together a video for the contest which shows various people discussing the importance of the rink including NHLer Ryan O'Reilly who use to play hockey in Bayfield.

On November 13th Pioneer will announce finalists for the competition.

If the local bid makes the cut then they will go to the voting stage which will last until December 12th.
