PARKING AT THE NORTH HARBOUR IN GODERICH AN ISSUE
11/8/2018 10:09:13 AM

Illegal parking near the North Harbour in Goderich continues to be an issue, so council is attempting to mitigate the situation.

CAO Larry McCabe said there are limits to how long people can park in that area and those limits are being exceeded.

The province has approved their request to raise parking fines from $100, to $200.

McCabe says when the rules aren't followed, different types of residents are negatively affected.

McCabe adds that council is hopeful the steep increase will deter parking in the area, however towing remains a possibility in the future.
