About 400 children this year under the age of 18 are participating in sports, recreation and arts programs in Huron County thanks to the Goderich-Huron YMCA and the United Way of Perth-Huron.
The program enables youth to receive up to $500 dollars towards reducing barriers associated with sports, recreation or arts such as registration costs, equipment, and transportation.
General Manager of the Goderich-Huron YMCA, Anne-Marie Thomson says the United Way is an important partner.

Now in its 5th year, the program is so successful that funding has been already used up for the year.
More details and ways to register can be found at ymcaswo.ca and by clicking on the Community Initiatives tab on the website and click Huron RASP.
