PEDESTRIAN DIES AFTER BEING STRUCK BY PICKUP TRUCK

Police are continuing their investigation into a collision on Harriston Road near Black Line, Sunday (apr15) night that left a pedestrian dead.
    
Huron County OPP were responding to an initial call from a passerby who reported a large amount of debris on the roadway where a vehicle had failed to remain at the scene.
   
Minutes after the first call, a second call came in, reporting that a motorist had stopped to inspect the collision scene and was struck by a pickup truck.
   
Huron County OPP, the North Huron Fire Department and the EMS all responded to the scene.
   
A 64 year old man was located without vital signs.
   
He was been identified at Douglas Stamper of Central Huron.
   
The driver of the truck was not injured.
    
Police are asking anyone with information pertaining to the initial collision to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
