An Amber alert is spreading across Ontario quickly this morning coming from Peel Regional Police regarding an abducted child. Police are searching for 15-year-old Alyssa Langille, described as white, 5 foot 2 inches tall, with blond hair and blue eyes.

21 YEAR-OLD TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

An arrest has been made relating to an incident of arson in Kincardine. South Bruce OPP say 21 year-old Kody Tachauer has been charged in connection with the January 5th early morning blaze in the 880 block of Queen Street. No injuries were reported in the fire.

MAITLAND VALLEY CONSERVATION AUTHORITY WATERSHED CONDITIONS STATEMENT

The Maitland Valley Conservation Authority has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement. The Authority says recent warm temperatures combined with overnight rainfall of approximately 20 mm, are causing the levels of watercourses in the Maitland and Nine Mile River watersheds to rise.

At long last we can chalk up a win for a Kincardine government grant application. Mayor Anne Eadie tells myFM the Municipality has been successful in its Canada 150 request. The Mayor says problems with leaky windows at the landmark will be a thing of the past.

HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY WILL REPLACE CHERRY TREE

There's one file Goderich Parks Superintendent Martin Quinn hopes to be able to clear from his desk before his impending retirement. Last September, a vandal took out one of the cherry trees planted in Courthouse Park. To date, Quinn says an arrest has not been made.
