KINCARDINE CREWS ON THE SCENE OF A WATER MAIN BREAK

Currently the Municipality of Kincardine is experiencing a water main break in the area north of Lake Huron Highlands, including Inverhuron and Inverhuron Park as a result. Crews are working to restore water service to the Eastwood, Parkwood and Birchwood areas within the hour.

ACW MOVING TO PROTECT SHORELINE TREES IN THE AREA

The Township of Ashfield Colborne Wawanosh is moving to protect its shoreline trees. Reeve Ben Van Diepenbeek say a bylaw to the effect has been tossed around for quite some time by Council, but a recent incident of clear-cutting has it back on the table.

SIU TO INVESTIGATE THE DEATH OF A MAN IN GRAND BEND ON THE WEEKEND

An autopsy will be done on a man who died in Grand Bend over the weekend. The OPP gave the man a ride home from a local establishment early yesterday morning when he went into medical distress and was pronounced dead. The Special Investigations Unit has been called into to review the case.

Another sold out field for the 2015 Kincardine Women's Triathlon. Ron Boucher from the Kincardine Triathlon Club tells myFM News that the swim portion in Lake Huron was almost called off but made it after a check of the water temperature.

South Bruce OPP report a serious collision has closed Amberley Road at Bruce County Road 7. A 66 year-old man from Princeton driving a red Harley Davidson Ultra Glide has been airlifted to London Hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a red Ford Explorer just before 11 this morning.

LOBB CALLS SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL WORLD CLASS

The Kincardine Summer Music Festival is benefitting from a 20 thousand dollar federal grant from Heritage Canada. The money was announced Friday by Huron Bruce MP Ben Lobb, who says Heritage Canada's partnership with the KSMF is a logical fit.

The importance of immunization has again hit home, with the detection of whooping cough-- or pertusis, in northern Huron County. Medical Officer of Health, Doctor Janice Owen says says infants and the elderly are the most vulnerable.
