LOCKS RIPPED IN RIPLEY

If you have a storage locker in Ripley, maybe checking it would be a good idea. South Bruce OPP report that locks were cut from a number of units at the Ripley Store All on Park Street. The incident was reported late last week. Police say as yet, nothing has been reported missing from the lockers.

MAJOR UPGRADE COMING TO THE BRUCE COUNTY RAIL TRAIL

Hikers and cyclists will soon be able to use the Bruce County Rail Trail between Kincardine and Saugeen Shores. The trail, which up until now has only been suitable for ATVs and snowmobiles, is about to get some major improvements to make it usable for non motorized use.

BAYFIELD HARBOUR TO SEE SOME MAJOR CHANGES OVER THE NEXT YEAR

Changes are coming to the Bayfield Harbour. Huron-Bruce MP, Ben Lobb made the harbour investment announcement yesterday in Bayfield, which will see improvements to the north entrance pier and the Fishermen's Wharf.

CAR HITS HOUSE

An 81 year old Kincardine woman is charged with careless driving after a car hit a house Monday morning. South Bruce OPP say the car was leaving the hospital driveway when it crossed Queen Street north and struck a house. The driver was assessed for non life threatening injuries.

BREAKFAST HOUR FIRE NEAR BLYTH

An early morning fire in the Blyth area sees fire crews on the scene this afternoon. The blaze broke out in the basement around breakfast time, and has caused an estimated $200,000 damage. Firefighters from North Huron and Brussels responded. No one is believed to have been hurt.
