The province has released its annual list of public sector workers who are paid more than 100-thousand dollars a year. The sunshine list includes doctors employed by hospitals, nurses, teachers, police and firefighters, in addition to civil servants.

GODERICH MAYOR MORRISON COMMENTS ON THE CLOSING OF SHOPPERS DRUG MART

The Shoppers Drug Mart in Goderich will soon be closing its doors. Officials with the company confirm that the store, located at 520 Huron Road, will be closing for good as of May 23rd. Goderich Mayor Kevin Morrison says he was not shocked by the companies decision to leave town.

FIFTY-EIGHT DRIVERS CHARGED DURING DISTRACTED DRIVING CAMPAIGN IN HURON COUNTY

Huron County OPP say their recent Distracted Driving campaign resulted in 58 drivers being charged. The campaign was held from March 14th to the 20th and the number of charges laid by Huron County OPP was up from the 47 laid during their campaign in 2014.

SAUGEEN SHORES COUNCIL PASS 2015 CAPITAL AND OPERATING BUDGET

Saugeen Shores Council has given the green light to their 2015 Capital and Operating budget. The budget, passed earlier this week, includes a blended tax increase of 3.25 per cent which works out to $91 on a total tax bill of $2,923 for a property assessed at $270-thousand.

Goderich Mayor Kevin Morrison celebrated month number 4 in office with his first ever Mayor's Luncheon yesterday. Morrison says that if you want to bring a new business to Canada's Prettiest Town, his office door is always open and his phone is on.
