STATION BEACH FISTICUFFS LEAD TO ASSAULT CHARGES

Some fireworks of their own-- as two 19 year-old men are charged with assaulting a teen on Canada Day night at Station Beach in Kincardine. South Bruce OPP allege the pair, from Kincardine and Barrie caused minor injuries to the victim.

Inspector Dana Earley was appointed to her job as South Bruce OPP Detachment commander on June 15th. She was the centre of attention at a meet-and-greet in Kincardine Tuesday, but last night was out in the community singing the praises of another popular staff member, Constable Kevin Martin.

KINCARDINE TO GET A NEW LEACHATE TREATMENT PLANT

The Town of Kincardine will spend almost 2 million 240 thousand dollars for a new Leachate Treatment Plant at the Kincardine Waste Management Centre. Chief Administrative Officer Murray Clarke says Wellington Construction has been approved to do the job, and construction will begin next month.
