Safety concerns at Station Beach drew three delegations and a staff report at Kincardine's Council meeting Wednesday. Local businessman Matt Harvey believes the Station Beach Blue Flag should come down.

SAUGEEN SHORES WANTS BRUCE COUNTY TO RUN THE BUSINESS ENTERPRISE CENTRE

The Town of Saugeen Shores would like to divest itself of its Business Enterprise Centre. Chief Administrative Officer Larry Allison says the Town has operated the Centre for many years, but it makes more sense that Bruce County should run it.

NEW ROAD SAFETY RULES COME INTO EFFECT TODAY !!!!

New road safety rules come into force today with stiffer fines for distracted driving, among other changes. The set fine for using or holding a handheld communication device is now 490 dollars and three demerit points on conviction.

NEW PROCEDURE AT SAUGEEN SHORES COUNCIL MEETINGS

The new Saugeen Shores Procedural Bylaw has raised some hackles in the community. Resident John Mann believes the 28 page document governing the conduct of municipal council and its committees contravenes the seven-page Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
